Ah fortunately this RS knew his watch.... 8)

I used to stand in and let the boys watch the movie and still keep my hands on :)

As I still do with my teams today .... best way to know how the customers really find the service offered ......

Seems a life time ago for me .....

Since 1999 I have been rather busy!

I was one of the few who did all 4 bombers.....

Starting in Reso in 1984, did time in Renown, Repulse and the Revenge (albeit for only a few weeks!) ending also in the finest ship I ever served on - the mighty Resolution.

Loved my time although the final nail for me was 3 crimbo patrols in a row due to all the messing with trouser legs .....

I moved over to S class and did sometime in Splendid and Sceptre but was invalided out with Arthritis in 1999.

That prob still exists but never as much as it did on the boats - guess poor beds, damp conditions etc never helped much - at one point I couldnt even pick a cup up!

Still I miss those days and the crews - a very special breed.....

I still see some of the old COs appearing in the news occasionally - ie the LR5 recover for the Russians and more recently the appearnce of a certain ex CO in court on less favourable terms regards piccies on his home PC!

I do keeep in touch with a few ex sparkers too

You can find a few on the friends reunited site!

regards

Yup I was in Faslane late 80's and early 90's on Revenge, left as a POTS and now also work in IT ( based in Stirling but contract all over the place as most work in my field down south).

Lets see if I can manage to just press the button once :)

Hardly something to be proud of. :p

:D Well I could think of worse things to admit!
Just show he wasn't scared of a bit of sea time, unlike the fleet boat fender squadron.
