Lindsay , look at the top of his SERVICE CERTIFICATE and it will tell you and us what rate and branch he was,
if tall , dark and good looking he was probably a stoker....M(E). ;)

Thank you so much for these Billy, they are great! I know my Dad was in Singapore so looking at the time frame from his record he must be on this photo somewhere! We honoured him with a trip to the naafi club and a can of tiger beer when we visited in March.
You know how to show an old matelot a good time. Did you all move on to Bugis Street to finish off the day?
