London Marathon

#1
Hi guys,
Earlier on in the year I committed to running the London marathon for a charity specialising in children with autism. I have recently been given my date for raleigh and guess what, it's smack bang in the middle of training.
Do you think the staff at raleigh will let me visit London on the Sunday to run the race. It is all fitness after all and on a Sunday? I'd be back in the afternoon or shall I shall in touch with the charity early enough to let them know they have to find another runner? Has this happened to anyone in the past?
Thanks.

If you have a joining date there must be some contact details, so use them, the worst they can say in no not allowed, but they may say yes?

You haven't thought this through. You need to register prior to the day of the race, pick up your running number/chip and final instructions. You won't be able to get any marathon training done while in Pase 1. Sundays can be very busy depending of which week it is. You would need to leave Plymouth on the Saturday afternoon/evening and you would not be back until about 2100 on the Sunday. Recovery would be impossible as you will need to rest, with no phys for about a week. In a nutshell the answer will be NO.
