You are a bigger man than I mate. Well done.

Didn't you used to be one of those fat smelly people on the tube though?

Day 190

1st of recovery!

I am taking 3 weeks off running now to try and recover properly (although I will do swimming etc to keep phys up) and I will slowly after 3 weeks see how things go from there.

Here are some photo's from the day

Looking the part at the start

Ready to go

Start of an end to an epic journey

Busting some moves before I started

18 miles and in pain

Coming towards the finish not long to go!

LonDONE!

Thank you all so much for all the support people have given me over the past 27 weeks. Thank you to all those that gave me advice and took time to read my thread.

So far I've raised £765 pounds in total, I know there is still more on it's way.

I think I can safely say to those who are thinking of doing events like this or even trying to pass their 1.5 mile fitness tests, if I can do it anyone can! It's worth the effort!

Thank you trigger. Totally appreciated.

The stiffness of the legs are pretty much gone now, still have the injuries though currently.

Just awaiting the official pics and I will post them up here.

How long did it take before you felt fully recovered from your massive effort, Tommo?

Are you still carrying an injury?

I think you are going to have to do this again; I liked reading your daily reports each evening!

Hello Sol

The stiffness went two days afterwards so no longer walking like MLP rogered me.

Groin seems to have healed and my knee no longer hurts. However still not going to run until it's had 3 weeks full rest as much as possible.

I am missing running and can't wait to get back on it.

I will do another once I found a challenge worthy.

People can still donate and I know got more to come but currently on 845 ish pounds

Thank you Bob aka BOOTWU for your recent donation. To answer your question you left on the page I've almost completed my second week of rest. One week to go before I can start to get back into running. Touch wood all is healed.

Well 3 weeks has passed since this event and I've put on my running shoes for the first time since. I fully rested and recovered for this period. Now starts the slow build up to running full 100% once more. Only went for a small run today but it was a big step for me.

All felt good and well so will carry on with the build up small distances and slowly increasing as I go.

I'm not going to daily update like I did prior but as this recovery was due to the marathon I will occassional post to show my progress. It may provide some valuable information for others.
