Logistics Officer ( submariner) Training Pipeline and Career Progression

#1
Hi,

As you will see I am a 'newbie' to this site, I have been viewing it for quite a while but only just signed up to have my first post.

I have my SIFT interview next week and am looking to improve on my weakest areas, which I think is the training pipeline and career progression for a Logs Officer ( submariner).

I can find plenty of info for BRNC and Warefare and Warefare ( submariner) and even logs officer but not specifically Logs Officer Submariner. I'm looking for something as detailed as this: http://www.navy-net.co.uk/newbies/44395-x-sm-training-pipeline.html ( although I realise that this is now out of date with the new combined IFT)

This is also what I have found for logs officer, general service: http://www.navy-net.co.uk/newbies/58294-logistics-officer-training-pipeline.html

Please if at all possible can you avoid acronyms, although I know ironically I have used a few myself!

Also, does anyone have a link for more information on ABLE and MERL and BLD?

Many thanks in advance,

I can't help you with specifics of logistics officer (submariner), but as you point out the X(SM) pipeline you linked to is out of date. This one: http://www.navy-net.co.uk/newbies/60468-warfare-officer-submariner-training-pipeline-april-2011-a.html is substantially more useful to you in terms of what it may entail overall - however it is for warfare officers, not logistics.

I'd also recommend reading this thread: http://www.navy-net.co.uk/newbies/38116-brnc-all-you-need-know-more.html - it'll give you the information on BLD, ABLE, CODEX and MARL as much as possible(and trust me, it explains all the acronyms I just used)

Sorry I can't be of more help to you with the specific details!
