A friend told me there used to be a really mangy 'dirty raincoat brigade' cinema in Torpoint. I He recalls visiting it a couple of times.
Not heard of that one, there used to be one near the Bretonside bus station in Plymouth. A load of us piled in there to see Chesty Morgan in "Deadly Weapons" The lady in the ticket office had a go at us for wasting our money watching "that filth":)

I remember a place with "nice girls". I think it was called Sudio 2 or something and it was outside camels head gate, (or maybe Albert gate).
Some lads used to get a nice bath and a rub in there, so I was told.
I wonder if that is going?

Might have been St Levans gate, allegedly there was a "massage parlour" by the Avondale.

I saw this advertised, currently airing on channel "5 Select" (Freeview 54) and when I looked into it, it appears that it's a sequel to 'The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet, below.

"Pillars" is a fictional story set during real events in 12th century England during "The Anarchy" when Stephen and Maude were battling each other for the throne.

I'm watching it on the "My5" app on my laptop.

Just finished watching the Tiger King series, the new docu on Netflix. There are more twists and turns in the story than you can shake a stick at. I found myself muttering 'WTF' as the next unexpected event unfolded. You certainly could not have made this up. I won't give any spoilers, but I was absolutely gobsmacked at some of the stats that were quoted along the way concerning the numbers of people in the US who keep wild animals; also, how they are exploited in private zoos and in advertising. The series might make a good basis for someone doing a PHd in psychoanalysis. Apart from The Donald, I didn't realize that there were so many loony tunes out there. And the US justice system???? Let's just say that you never want to be indicted in the US!

Fully agree! Strange is a understatement.
