Life belts missing......

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Have you ever gone to use a lifebelt and found it wasnt there... or seen one missing?

    Who would steal these?

Surely this puts lives in danger - in case they are needed.

If being stolen/thrown 'for a laugh' what is a suitable punishment on offer? :threaten:
  2. Couldnt find mine on the Titanic.

  3. Why/when have you had cause to go and get a life jacket?
I thought they where all stored secure in upperdeck lockers?
  4. Apart from your own personal one thats tested on a monthly basis of course.
  5. ...but of course......

    ......monthly you say?
  6. I believe so, used to be the buffers responsibility but don't know if its still his part of ship.
  7. We had to blow them up and leave them on your pit for the FOSTees to check. Otherwise they took space up in your boot drawer, and got dusted off for skippers rounds.
  8. Sounds familiar!
