  1. Hi all,

Having finished my degree and graduated in September I am considering applying to the Navy as an Engineer officer. I'm still largely undecided as to which one I would prefer (although I understand it may not be my choice if there are shortages in one area?). Im just looking for some experience of previous officers as to what life is like in this career, are there opportunities for travel - more so in one branch than another as the general consensus on these forums is that stints on the ships are few and far between? Have you enjoyed your careers in this role? Would you change what role you chose if you could do it again?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Plenty of opportunities to travel although you may not like you destination(if there is one) when you get there.
