I’m no fan of the way Prince Harry and his wife have conducted themselves, but isn’t the story saying exactly the opposite of that? To quote the link;

And you can understand why.

If they say yes to Harry paying for a 'private' contract for protection. That would surely open the flood gates for others to ask for the same. Setting a precedent and making the police a mercenary force, Available to the highest bidder,

Sorry, it makes no sense. Sounds more like they, (Harry/Megan) are trying it on!! Knowing the police are going to say and hopefully offering to cover the security costs.

Got in one @Waspire - even if the police agreed he would still be getting it on the cheap because they would have all the weight of the various offices of state to call on and that wouldn’t be on the invoice - I’m guessing there are plenty of ex SF’s both side of the pond who would presumably be more than happy to take the Princes’ Shilling

Where could they be going in the UK where the might of a police protection detail would be required? They have made their choice, want to be Mr & Mrs Windsor leading an anonymous life so bloody let them get on with it like any other person would have to.

Slightly different note but the life they claim to want could be theirs if the MSM would completely blank them both.
