    Agree. A mad Gunnery Officer of my aquaintance [not the one who spent two years at ASWE compulsively straightening paper clips] was a projector of one of these ideas (see Planesail at http://www.geocities.com/CptinRn/strange.html, although he doesn't seem to have received a credit for it there).

  5. The MOD would love this it will save them a fortune in fuel costs. I think we should learn how to rig sails again just in case.
