  4. Kate receives her Military Cross.


    A hero navy medic has told how she saved a wounded soldier while under fierce Taliban fire - an extraordinary act of courage that won her the Military Cross.

    Kate Nesbitt, 21, sprinted 70 metres across open ground when Cpl John List was shot in an ambush.

    As bullets whistled past her head, she selflessly treated him for about 45 minutes while he struggled to breathe from a horrific neck wound.
