Justice in Anglo Saxon Courts

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just when you thought things may be improving in the adversarial world of the Anglo Saxon Legal system this happens;

    In Oz two murderers are being allowed to appeal against their convictions as a staple (1) was missing from the Court Papers. Lawyers up to their legal shenanigans again.

    Maybe its time to move to the Napoleonic system of Examining Magistrates

  2. Nuuty, I often disagree with you, but in this case I am totally with you.
  3. Bugger, I thought it was going to be a thread about trial by combat or ordeal, well gutted.
    Agghhh, can I put the red hot poker down now??
    Guilty as charged me lud

  4. This sort of thing is the lawyers staple diet
  5. I remember the murder these scum went down for. The young woman was kidnapped from a railway station, raped, then tied up and thrown into a dam to drown. Evidence suggests she was driven around for several hours, conscious and aware, while the killers talked of how they were going to dispose of her. I can't imagine how she felt during her last hours of life.

    Hanging is too good :threaten:
  6. Nutty, I was getting excited, thinking you were going to discuss justice at the time of the Danelaw - though even then a person's rank determined what revenge they could take or consequences they could seek.

    Always (at your service).
