Joining the Navy as a graduate engineer- newbie alert

Im looking at applying to join the Navy as a graduate engineer. It seems i have 3 options Weapons, Air and Marine engineering officer.

was wondering if there are people on here with experience in these fields to help guide me ?

If there is anyone recently went through this graduate programme could you offer some advice on preparing before application ? and what do i need to know about the selection process that isn't available online ?

whats life like at sea. I see a lot of people have the main drawback as missing family but not many other drawbacks .

Your requirements may have already been addressed. Have you tried the site search engine?

Some of us - maybe just me - get a bit hacked off when noobs rock up looking for a bespoke service from their on line Staff.

Have a look first.

I have indeed took time to look online. as you will probably agree the testimonials recorded and uploaded by the royal navy will naturally be bias. some of these videos including the local recruitment centre and online talk with function, told me best thing to do is to speak to men and women who have went through this to get a better idea. Also yes i have used the search function on this site as it would be much easier, but unfortunately I cant see what I'm looking for. I'm sorry to have annoyed you and that was not my intention, I though the point of a forum was to discuss things like this.

was always told throughout my life there no such thing as a stupid question.

thanks anyway I'll continue to look elsewhere also :)

Cheers lads I'll have a look through them. I didn't realise direct entry was effectively graduate entry so I'll use that to search through. I'm a member of a few forums understand it can get frustrating seeing the same kinda questions time and again

The search function is OK but you need to know the right words to use.
Having fallen foul of that situation myself, I can sympathise.

Have youtried searching for Engineer, it brings up a few threads, refine by adding Weapons, Marine or Air eg Weapons Engineer?:)
