Joining different force after failed medical

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

I'm unsure as to whether I should have posted this on an army or navy forum but I'll post here anyway.

My application was denied on medical grounds and appeal rejected for a stupid reason that I could rectify if I knew it was fail criteria. Seeing as the navy would no longer accept an application from me was just wondering something.

If i was to instead apply for the army would my medical test results from the navy be available to them? and also is there a period of time I would have to wait between applying to the army?

The Army usually request the med docs from other service applications so there's not much point failing to declare, not that you would.

Some conditions are an outright bar, some time-limited, some only apply to single service.

For the most part, medical standards are the same for all three services.
