Joining as a Doctor?

Discussion in 'Joining Up - Royal Navy Recruiting' started by boredcivvydoc, Jan 17, 2011.

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Would anyone be kind enough to let me know whether the Navy is still recruiting doctors? The AFCO were unsure and passed my details onto a specialist medical recruiter who hasn't contacted me and I haven't got his/her details.

I am currently finishing off GP training in civvy street but would be happy to do some General Duties time if this was required/possible?

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. Hi boredcivvydoc

A good source of advice on joining as a Doctor might be Rum Ration's on board MO, AngryDoc, who will no doubt be doing a Ward Round later.

Ninja Stoker should know about this too.

In the meantime, here's a link to the Medical Officer PDF:

If I can fish out any more information for you myself, I shall.

We are, but you can speak to the speacilist recruiters in Portsmouth direct yourself if you wish.

By all means PM if you require a check on the telephone number.
