  1. hiya..

i have my interview on thursday for a position as a mine wafare specialist, i have been reading up on the different types of ships and their roles within the navy, is there anything else i should be reading up on such as types of sea mine ect..

    Any help will be appriciated

  2. Just make sure you learn about current deployments, especially were the mine sweepers are at the moment, as that will be important for you. In my interview he asked me a lot of personal questions, about work, what I do at home, ironing ability and the like.
Aside from all that I would also recommend making sure you look smart, a suit and well polished shoes are a must.
  3. ahh ok, cheers for the advice!

  4. Thanks alot for that, very helpful information, answers most of my questions!
  5. You're welcome!

Browse through Navy News (W H Smith) before your interview, too.
  6. Don't forget to mention you'd be available for STC (Splash Target Coxwain) duties, it can help to fast track your application. 8)
