  1. hey guys,
i have received a phone call ( about 20 minutes ago) say that i have my interview this tuesday! ( why is it so quick? as i have only sat my test this wednesday gone?),
i asked my CA why it was so quick and he said something about a V. good test result?
But my question is will i get any lee-way on my interview, as i have only got 3 days to prep. for it?
And has somebody got a link for each 4 sections in the interview? ( as he said something about 4 sections :S )??
I would of been able to understood him better, but as i was on an overcrowded bus... and by the time i got home, the AFCO would be shut. so sorry if i have bombarded you with questions :)

  3. My RT was on a Thursday and I was offered a medical 11 days later. Unfortunately I had to check my diary and by the time I got back to them on the Monday, they were fully booked, so alas I have to wait until I come back from something.

Good news though that you got good results (and makes me wonder if mine weren't too shabby, I didn't think to ask and assumed it was normal).

  4. I passed my RT on Wednesday and have the medical this coming Tuesday. I was told however that because of a new format that my interview is likely to be some months away (nearer the end of my waiting time).

Sorry to hijack your thread WS2B but I have a question to anyone who may know. For my interview (whenever that may be) do I have to revise types of ships aswell as boats - as I'm applying for the subs - or just boats???

  5. I would, I revised loads but didn't end up getting asked half of it but you never know. At the very least it shows enthusiasm, self motivation and committment if you do learn it.

  6. Read up as much info as you can about the branch your joining , as long as you understand what your job role will be and what it involves you will be ok , all I had for mine to read up on was the A4 leaflet on your branch so wasnt hard to read up and understand as the isnt alot of info in them . Thats only 1 section of the interview anyway and only lasted for around 15 minutes ( for me it did anyway ) the rest of the interview was just like having a general chat about yourself and family . dress smart and good luck mate

  7. Wear a suit and if the CA asks you who irons your shirts don't say your mum!
