Indian Nations - Not Happy Campers

Didnt the Westerners introduce scalping into Indian culture?
Something to do with killing the French invaders or something like that as proof of knocking them off.
Might be wrong as I usually am.

Nope.. the North American Indians already used the technique, the British and French ramped it up...as usual....

According to Cherokee shaman Bear Heart, Native American warriors scalped only enemies they saw as brave and honorable combatants. Thus wearing an enemy's scalp was a sign of accomplishment. Famously, General Custer was not scalped after the Battle of Little Big Horn because he was seen as a coward.

Battle trophy's have been around for years....ears for example during the Vietnam era... :hockey:
