The the next batch will train up to cover the Firefighters (no Green Goddess's now?)

Followed by the batch that will be covering when all the Police go sick (no strike rights)

Last but not least will be the Binmens reliefs.

The lads'll love it. Easy days. Stand easy every half an hour and free scran. Imagine a troop of booties having to stand in and gaurd a female prison...... Everyones a winner.

  3. Ha...! I've been to a few jobs at Newhall (female) Prison and from what I've seen, these pigfukcs would traumatise the hardest bootneck

  4. Prison officers wont go on strike for more that a day. The POA will could call an early morning withdrawal of labour but the courts would have an injuction forbiding it signed up by lunch time. Prison officers cannot strike because they sold thier right to under JERPA in exchange for an independant pay review body that governements for the last 20 years have never listened to. If a private prison goes up then we send in our tornado teams regardless of whether we are on strike or not because of the priority of protecting life and even if we were to withdraw "good will", and heaven knows the service would fall apart in a week without it, there are still too many overtime bandits that would rush down to central resourcing and grap all the ours under the sun.

When they talk about messing with police pensions and rights there is uproar from the public "usually" they then don their white caps and go walkies. No one gives a shit about the prison service.

Did you know a top whack screw earns 32k before overtime and with a few extra hours a week he can easily earn 40+.
As of last year a brand new screw earns 17k and they have to stand shoulder to shoulder with there oppoes doing the same job and taking the same shit. Labour did everything they could to nerf the prison service as a career, like everything else they just want people to do a few years and burn out like in the private sector thus reducing the pension bill. Promotion is now a no go unless you allready have done it and there is little incentive to care about what you are doing anymore, discipline and professionalism is all but dead even in the most strict prisons.

Oh and btw nearly 15% of my houseblock of 200+ are ex services......o_O
