Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

The IN-SERVICE DEGREE FOR THE WARFARE AND SUPPLY SPECIALISATIONS states that the age for eligibility is 21 and under. As a 22 year old about to start at BRNC in April, I wonder if anyone knows why those over 21 are not entitled to the scheme. Is it possible to pay the University fees yourself and enter into the degree program?
  2. anybody?

Best bet is to ring your ACLO as the rules are not instantly available & AIB are better placed to advise.

My guess is that if you didn't join until over 21, you already had opportunity to gain a degree prior to joining.
  4. Sounds the right answer to me as well Ninja, not come across the guidelines for this scheme either.

  5. Ok, thanks. I shall give them a call.
