Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I was at the IWM last week and was told by a member of staff that most of the larger exhibits had been moved to Duxford in preparation for the closure of the IWM (London) for six months of refurbishment, beginning in January.

As Rum Rationers often like to include a visit to the IWM when up in town, it's worth noting that the Museum will be closed for the first six months of next year.

  2. On the other hand it may be possible to kill two birds with one stone with a visit to Duxford!!!!!!
  3. Yes, can second Waspies suggestion , Duxford is a great place to spend some time, the tank and army exhibits are well displayed and plenty of info, the aircraft halls are magnificent, plenty of facilities for bad weather and eating , if you can combine with a flying display day, even better.

  4. It'll be bedlam, no doubt. ^~
