  1. For those who are leaving and looking for a job or to set up business or get involved with one you may find some of this stuff useful

What Colour Is Your Parachute? by Richard Nelson Bolles
An awesome book, this talks you through how to change your career, helps you work out what type of career might suit you best, and most importantly, the best and worst methods of getting a job and how to do it. It also talks about how to keep yourself motivated, and how to go about starting your own business.

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
Great book looking at attitudes to finances and money – this will get you thinking differently!

The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
This looks at how the little things you do each day can massively impact of your life. It’s a really good read

There are lots of franchises and business opportunities out there, as well as network marketing companies, and it’s well worth looking at this route. Do consider the following though:

    • The time the business has been running
    • Profit
    • Projected profits
    • Is it something people will always need?
    • Who’s running it and what’s their success previously?
    • Training and support offered
    • Area you cover...

Business opportunities and network marketing tend to be low cost start-up which means low risk to you.

If you do go down any of these routes though, one thing I would say is don’t buy a job, make sure there is some sort of residual payment where your customer is signed up then they pay you every month.

Also use local business networking groups such as BNI, the people there tend to be reliable as their businesses lie on word of mouth, so a good way of getting in touch with services you may require, but they ll also pass business your way

What ever you do good luck
