after reading all the above i have to disagree with youas i have won a small fortune almost had the cash.

here goes

Mr nigerian emailed me with the instructions of how to claim the money and all he needed was for the details of my bank account in which to pay the cash that was rightfully mine.

i duly paid some of the £2000 acceptance fee by western union.

it was when i tried to pay the rest of the cash by BACS transfer from my NoORTHERN ROCK account that i recieved an email back from them accusing ME of being a scamster, returned my cash and tried to bring the wrath of allah upon ME.

what did i do wrong

The worrying thing is they only have to get one cabbage in a million & that's enough.

The scariest/ most realistic email I received was one purporting to be from "Visa" were you had to register your details for "safe-keeping & to ensure you re-validate your card within 24 hours" or it will become invalid.

The link took you to a very plausible "Visa" website in which you were encouraged to enter all the necessary detail, including the 3 digit security code on the reverse of the card (of course). The "ghosted" website was incredibly detailed & all the multiple links on it appeared to work, even down to search functions, FAQ level & account balance level.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for these Nigerian diplomats to wire me my money.....
