Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. They keep on barking back to me (1) there's nothing wrong with the RAF flying off Royal Navy carriers and that it's better for the RAF to dominate the fast jet arena due to their knowledge. And to save costs by having air force pilots in jets. So as long as there's magical jets, there will be join RAF-RN (or more specifically RAF dominated planes in the carrier group?) The UK can never be like the French, the Yanks or even the Indians with a pure Navy pilots flying off Navy carriers?

  2. uhhh, what?

  3. Good, it's not just me then.

I think we have a mental on the loose.

  5. Without wishing to feed the troll.

The Joint system works. Embrace it.

  6. The troll sounds like a Gurniad Journo looking for his next big scoop.

  7. DM - the Guardian used to have 2 v good journos who asked sensible and decent questions over on ARRSE.

  8. A PHD and you can't work out why this is the only way forward? Astonishing.

  9. Well maybe he should fu** off over to Arsse then !

  11. Apart from the Crab pilots, ask the rest of the Crab squadron how they feel about joining a "go home every night" outfit, and then ending up at sea.

  12. Maybe a case of 'Apres-Moi le deluge' :hello2:

  13. FU** you. I return the gesture.

  14. Yeah tell that to the AAC--why not joint with the RAF?

I give you Joint Helicopter Command.....AAC and RAF and even Navy cabs operating under a joint operating construct, but able to be tasked and operate independently if the FLC requires.

  20. Just a point but does the OP think that the F35 is called the Joint Strike Fighter for our benefit?
