What is it with cats and earphones? Our monster cat (he's huge!) delights in nicking the ear bud type and chewing off the silicon bit. Luckily we only use the cheap sort rather that noise cancelling Bose ones!

I suspect you may have identified your own problem here. The expensive ones have a special cat-repellant coating that keeps them off. Well worth the additional £££s.

Now, if I was young and naive, I might just believe you! However, being Jockinese and therefore capable of getting about 200 sets from the Chineses shop for the same price as a set of Bose noise-cancelling ones, I'll go for prudence!
