Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The BBC has reported research in the US that brings, it claims, the possibility of invisibility for humans a step closer.

If you had a cloak which would render you invisible. what productive use would you make of it (aside from the voyuristic)........
  2. Can't see it happening!
  3. I haven't read the link, but I would right into those ladies changing rooms.
  4. Who said that? :confused1:
  5. I thought more people would have seen through this by now.
  6. Many years ago, I used to wear one of those invisibility cloaks when standing at the bar in pubs.
  7. Naval invisability:
    Look purposeful with:

1, Paint pot and brush in hand.

    2, Clipboard in hand.

    3, Broom in hand.

    On board ship.

Us stokers, wheel spanner at the ready.

    Any more?
  8. Oh they still exist and the reasoning goes like this:
The more staff behind the bar the greater the power of your cloak. Go to a busy bar with one good person working and the power of your cloak will diminish in proportion.
  9. The work of a Visionary?
  10. I often 'disappear' down to the pub!
  11. Had one of those cloaks for years, its in the garage somewhere ,ufcked if I can find it.
