How not to perform on your AIB

Almost as good as simulated surfexs where, due to having no aircarft onboard, I get to enjoy the pleasure of pretending to be both lynx and controller. Thereby spending four hours talking to myself on comms about roe and tattoo numbers. Mint.

Pick your branch, take a chance and all that.

Ah, I didn't say that I gleaned no enjoyment out of constructing complex and convoluted no win scenarios for my pwo, conveniently ignoring the brown envelope.

As it should be Blackers, your clearance extends only up to STC.

Cheers Bob. I'll climb back in my scratcher and keep my head down.

I suppose being the only fcuker on bored who knows your job does have it's benefits.

Phalanx Operator on RFAs was always a winner. I recall during a particularly dull ADEX, I told the Ops Officer that the Phalanx could only engage one target before it had to be reloaded. This meant I could thin out after our first attack and get some rack time.

Overheating always used to be a winner too:

''Sir the Phalanx has overheated again.''

''Well go and sort it out then.''

This pretty much guaranteed me and the other WEs the rest of the exercise off to get amongst the fridge.

Stan, I truly love you. That's ace. I have absolutely no doubt that when my AIB comes around, I will bomb it in similar style. If I can do so whilst matching your excellence, I will be a proud, proud man.

Yeah..

Oh ye of little faith. Monty might have the looks, but does he cut the mustard? I say yes, purely for the fact he is off his fucking nut. He can drink in my mess any day. He'll liven the place up. He could even bring along 2DD, who is our Honory Colonel, but doesn't turn up as it clashes with his polo meetings.

Got Phalanx on ARK after the big refit great laughs all round as the 1st PAC from the midships mount nearly took the DAS Ops head off (for you BR DAS is a lookout sight) :)
