I'm not sure which moves me to greater despair; the Mail Online's wildly inaccurate photo captions or typical lost-the-plot comments by its readers such as:

The RAF might well be interested in the hotel-ship proposal.
Firstly, it could divert funds from the RN by selling off the QE class early as commercial ventures.
Secondly, in a worst case scenario, it could provide a blueprint for how the ships should be refitted should the RAF actually be required to serve in them.
