Homosexuality in Nelsons Navy

Anyone interested in history as I am can pick up quite a bit from the Times newspaper of the day,for instance.
22 October 1807 one of the finest looking sailors of the day,Lt William Berry was hanged for getting a cabin boy to play with his genitals!
He was fine looking, over 6! in height and a model Officer due to be married on the ships return.
Cabin boy was exonerated for being 14 years of age[he really was 16 and should have been hanged] but he complained to others about the practice before.
In another issue a seaman was awarded 300 lashes and a years imprisonment for shagging a female pig!
Worth a read is the Times from the past.

Are you in Guzz? I was a few days ago and the sight of the female population 'enjoying' themselves on a Saturday night still has me in shivers 8O

Was the cabin boy called "Roger"

In case any new recruits feel the need to stroke an Officers Genitals,Lt Berry had a tough hanging.
Despite a 32lb cannon ball tied to his feet, when the sailors ran and hoisted him the noose knot caught under his chin and he choked for 15 mins.
He may have rogered the cabin boy as he never expected to be caught in his own cabin but! a young female cabin girl looked through the keyhole.
That hanged him.
His respected family were distraught at the shame, that should stop some new recruits trying to get advancement.
BTW the pig was thrown overboard the next day!who would want to eat bacon after Jack had pumped it up!

The cabin boy and maybe the cabin girl?

And on that subject, where the friggin hell did she pop up from?
This tale is getting like a plot like a "B" rated porno, so far we have gay play, smally girls and bestiality, whipping and snuff action.
Fuck sake bring in the sticky buns, a couple of nuns and two cowboys riding each other's range and we practically have a full house.

The irony is not lost on me.

In Nelsons day, you would get punished.

Today, you get promoted.

Cruel irony is a fickle mistress.

The girl was one of those who popped up frequently, signed on as a boy, found out later to be a girl and allowed to stay, wonder why?
Her testimony had him hanged and hers alone.
Considering he was over 6' broad and very good looking may be she was jealous, why would she look thru an officers cabin door keyhole?
Sorry about the porno but just picked it up from the Times newspaper of the day.
It's the old saying "If you don't know where we've been, we can't know where we are going!" that's why I like Naval history.

RNAS Ford 1957. A National Service PO was caught in the act with a sow, by the OOD and entourage (nothing odd about Carruthers). He earned as holiday in DQs
