Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Saw that this morning, it's just an underwater look ffs. Nice of the journo's to dramatise it though especially the "giant" T23 or perhaps their trying to make us think a T23 is giant so the when the new carriers get downsized they can be called "mahoosive"
  2. "Clang!"

    "What was that?"

"Just that Delta above us - dumping a gash cannister on the after casing"

    (lies....all lies)
  3. Operation "Blue Toreador". I understand the symbolism of a blue matador waving the flag beneath the belly of the beast but ffs..

Who comes up with these op names?!

What's wrong with "Operation Solemn Sentinel" or "Operation Covert Scout" or even "Operation Hermetic Re-con"? etc.

I suppose it doesn't really warrant an extra-special nick considering it's a fairly straight forward exercise eh?

    Operation Goosey ganders
  4. Perhaps I should sell them some photos I have of a certain foreign warships bottom I might just have?
