HMS President Divisions

#1
I had the pleasure of attending President's Annual Divisions in the Tower of London last night, it was a memorable evening , excellent guard and a slick parade BZ to all. 150 plus on parade including 40 plus new entries

Godd to hear 1SL give an aware speech on the RNR and its uses by the RN , it bodes well for the future.

So lucky to have such facilities

It always is - I attended on several occasions when I was with London URNU. Hope the run ashore afterwards was as good as ever!

Any chance you can summarise for those of us who wanted to be there but were stuck somewhere a little warmer? :)
I wasn't there but at a guess it went something like this:

Form up outside President, fifty ratings behind one hundred officers.
March to the Tower, having phots taken by Japanese tourists on the way.
Form up inside the Tower.
Standing still practice for a hour.
March back to President.

You forget about the cries of "Hello Sailor" from the Yachties at St Katharine's Dock :)

Its easy to get that much brass. Just invite 1SL and as if by magic the rest just appear!

A quote from the man himself:

"This first engagement with the RNR in my new post has left me with a
fine impression of the Service. BZ"

Easy to invite, slightly harder to gain the acceptance.

Me thinks he knew us well in the previous post.
