Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Could anybody tell me??? When HMS Liverpool, will visit Liverpool, before she pays off.
  2. :laughing2:Come on.... those in the know!!! or i will ask my next doors neighbours milkman, whose uncle goes in the RNR Club at Bootle, and is an oppo of the Harbour Master:-D
  3. Depends if she's de-ammoing in Portsmouth. If so, then a visit to Liverpool is unlikely. Otherwise your guess is as good as ours.

Have you tried mailing the ship directly?
  4. Early next year, Scouse.

The chain of thought from up high is that they'd like HMS Liverpool to visit liverpool before she is flogged on but from a purely commercial point of view it has been judged that it's probably best not to as they'd like to have a bit of sellable ship left when it comes to flogging it.
  6. Ta! Maam . Thought so!!
  7. HMS Liverpool is due to decommission in the spring after 30 years' service; a final visit to her namesake city and trials and exercises are in store before the White Ensign is lowered for good.
