  1. Hi,first post but have been frequenting,

    A friend told me today that whilst reading the Telegraph he read that a Sailor from the Edinburgh had been killed by a cable snapping, anyone seen/heard this and can point me toward the story as havent long been off and of course we all like to keep up on the things happening around us.

    Hi welcome to RR.

    I've just had a good trawl through the Telegraph website & couldn't find any reference to it.

    I also read in the news stand version of the Telegraph today there was a sailor "seriously injured" on HMS Edinburgh when a wire parted, but can't find anything online either. Sorry.
     
  3. ah sweet cheers mate, ill get the article off of him if i can.

    hopefully not fatal but will find out.

    know wire springs are a thing of past but aparently happened when being towed.
