HMS Duncan Launched 11 TH Oct

on the anniversary of the Royal Navy's victory over the Dutch fleet in 1797 which was led by Admiral Adam Duncan after whom the ship is named.
If the Dutch fleet was commanded by our admiral, no wonder we won.

He said: "The launch of Duncan is the culmination of a huge effort by workers here on the Clyde, British subcontractors across the country, and staff in the MOD.

“They have built potent warships of which everyone involved can be very proud.
I'm sure they will feel that warm glow of pride while standing outside the Job Centre. Pity that DUNCAN isn't a heavy patrol craft. The Pendant No P45 would have a certain air.
