Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Before I start I know it's not earls court and its not the real field gun etc.

    But who won?

tell me it wasnt the Army again.

  2. HMS Heron won the competition 5Dits. WAFUs mostly I suppose but better than the Army winning. Great day out.

    Regards, Chris

  3. Cheers Chris,

Your right even woo's are better than the Army.

    Also check your PM's
  4. wafus always won the old one :thumright: WITH A FIELDGUNCREW UNBEATABLE :salut:

  5. All answered 5Dits, cheers.

Wafu's did not win all the time, Pompey did a number of times, I know.

Great day out, either you stayed in the beer tent and missed the competition or you did not even go to it.

My mate's son got squashed by one of the skydivers, apparently...

When his other son rang him up to tell him about it, he said: "Dad, there were lots of men there who were too worried in case he landed on their beer!" That'll be all the matelots then!

He's 5 years old (the son, not my mate. That'd be wrong...)
  11. I was there with the Collingwood crew and the the result in the final was...

    1. Sultan
    2. HMNB Portsmouth
    3. REME
    4. Joint Force Harrier
    5. Collingwood A
    6. Heron

Heron actually aborted their run as one of their gunwheel numbers severely dislocated his knee. (It was 90 degrees to the right of where it should be)
  12. Still running at your age Brigham? good to see there is still life in the old sparker!
  13. Well done Sultan

Apologies for the size of the pics - that's how they appear on the website...

  15. It was HMS Sultan A crew that won the brickwoods trophy this year. Pompey took everything else.
  16. Sultan B crew didn't come third at all. They won the plate two final which means they came 12th.
  17. None of you miserable gits came to the Royal British Legion stand to say hallo to the Riders branch :thumright:
Darren Campbell the olympic sprinter did though
  18. Sorry Buster, but I was a tad too busy over on the track. :)
  19. Glad to see that REME came third. well done lads
