Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. With patience, guile and no drama.

"Royal Navy warship HMS Chatham has intercepted a hijacked dhow, being used as a pirate mother ship, to the east of the Gulf of Aden and set free its kidnapped crew."

    Link

  2. Foils, we used to use a cutlass.

  3. You are quite right. I meant, "foil". After the abuse the RN has received over the last few years I am sure you meant well ..... even in the face of success.

    Edited for feck knows why.

  4. well done to the CHATHAM, just a shame tht the ROE did not allow them to take more permament action against the pirates.

  5. Aye, Blow the barstewards out of the water and machinegun the liferafts. japanese style.

Agree with Jimbo tho. The MoD should be making sure this positive news appears in the newspapers. With all the doom and gloom the papers are peddaling regarding afghan etc, some positive military results would be a good thing to read.

  6. I did good on em but it's a shame they were not allowed to finish the buggers off.
