Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just checked out the RN website. It shows CO of Albion to be a commander. Should a capital ship not have a captain for CO? Or is she going into maintenance??
  2. Albion is conduction her first docking period in Devonport so her 'real' skipper has legged it leaving a senior naval officer in charge, normally one of the engineering HoD's unless the XO is a Commander. :bball: :thumright:
  3. See "..We do not, as a rule, publish 'grip and grins'..." on page 7 of Jan 09 issue of Navy News here.
  4. Can't play the link as our cyber geriatric navystar system does not support it, will try from home later on. Cheers anyway! :pc:
  5. cheers mate.

wasn't sure if the guys with the cheque book were cutting back again!!
  6. The Captain has left and joined Bulwark, thus the Cdr steps up and takes charge. The new CO is in fact the new Cdr and he will step down when the new skipper joins on completion of DP1
  7. Ahoy there shipmate!
