Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. History site www.naval-history.net

I have just found this site whislt looking for pictures of old ship. Most of you I assume know about it but it well worth a wander around.

    Agreed.

I have been regularly using this site for quite a while now, researching ships my dad served in during 39 - 61 - very informative.

Interesting. I notice it doesn't mention the G Spot, the navy's largest frigate! ;)

Another good site for tracking the older warships of most navies, particularly for those interested in WW2 era vessels is:

    www.uboat.net

It lists those sunk by Uboats - some 600 British ships, but also lists some 3700 ships of 30+ classes.

    :)

Here's one for tracking PERS in the RCN/RN and Merchant for awards and dispatches from 1910 to 1968
