Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and no disrespect to the task force who did it in real time but any views on weather it would have bee a good move in hindsight to have followed the SAS raid on Peeble Island up by taking it and :

    a) establishing a forward base for the Harriers prior to the San Carlos landings , or

    b) Letting the BBC World service know we were establishing a forward operating base there (as they would report it) but just installing Rapier , stingers etc and flying CAPS over it to try and draw the Argentine Airforce into a trap and write them down a bit.
  2. We didn't have enough slack to be too creative
