"An appeal has been launched by the Royal Marines to help find photographs of one of their officers who tragically died in front of thousands of people during a military display.

Royal Marines Captain, Antony Easterbrook, died in 1960 during a Commando Display accident during the British Military Tattoo in New York’s Maddison Square Gardens.

A plaque commemorating him at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines’ Sports Pavilion is now in need of repair and so the Royal Marines are seeking photographs of Capt Easterbrook for a new plaque to be unveiled in 2014 as part of the Corps’ 350th birthday."
