  1. If he served in the area during the Confrontation, he would have been awarded the CSM 1962 (sometimes called the GSM) with two bars (Malay Peninsular & Borneo) by the UK Government, , despite being on a 'secret mission' boat.

    As for 'eventually' receiving one (quite prob the CSM) from his Skipper.
    I and the rest of us generally received it from the Captains Office from the hand of the killick Scribes, having had to sign for it.

    However, as he has now received it, I'm happy for him, I received mine about three months ago courtesy of Fred Burden of the fight4thepjm website who was kind enough to accept it on my behalf at a ceremony.
