"Surgeon Commander Tim Dean has achieved what is believed to be a first for a Royal Navy dentist, when he took charge of the passing-out-parade at HMS Raleigh.

The 39-year-old, from St Germans, is currently serving as the Senior Dental Surgeon at the Royal Navy training base in Cornwall. He volunteered to fill in as the Parade Commander, which involved briefing the VIP inspecting officer and giving the orders to ensure the parade ran to the required military precision."
