Helping hand......

It seems there is a young lad sleeping rough in Southampton who wants to join the RN.

To cut a long story short, the RN Faceache site 'Harry Threaders' has raised money for him to get some accommodation and clothing. It seems that the local AFCO have already been dealing with him and are trying to expedite his entry.

What a fantastic story and a big BIG BZ to all concerned.

He’s now in a 1 bed apartment with enough funding to get all of his gear squared away for Raleigh. It’s been an amazing effort!

Warms the cockles of your heart! The latest from 'Harry Threaders':

Guys, just wanted to say a massive thank you again for all the kind and generous donations that have been made to not only the Amazon gifting page but for all the donations, and to the people who have made an effort to meet this future matelot in person and help him on his journey.
We have almost sourced some permanent accommodation for this chappy and he's set up for Raleigh too, without all of you this would not have been possible.
Thank you for sharing and donating, once family always family, I am proud to serve and proud to know that people out there are so wonderful and caring, lets keep spreading the message and show how wonderful a royal navy family is. — with
