Help with dads naval service.

I have still not received my dads service record so I have been doing my own research,found out about his promotions REL(Q)1959

POR E/L

CHR E/L 1968

CHR E/L

I’ve found out about 3 ships he was on,2 RN W/Ts and Northwood.

From this information can anyone let me know where he did his basic training and Comms training.He did 22 years so working back he joined up 1952/53.

When did you apply for his records? Took 10 months for my grandads to come through.
