Restroom Policy

In the past, Marines were permitted to make trips to the restroom under informal guidelines. Effective the first day of next month, a Heads Trip Policy will be established to provide a consistent method of accounting for each
Marines Heads time and to insure equal treatment of all Marines.

Under this policy, a Heads Trip Bank (HTB) will be established for each Marine. The first day of each month, Marines will be issued a Heads Trip Credit Card (HRTC) of twenty minutes. HTCC's can be accumulated from month to month.

Currently, the entrances to all Heads are being equipped with personnel identification stations and computer-linked voice-print recognition. During the next two weeks, each Marine must provide two copies of voice-prints (one normal; one under stress) to the Colonels’ Office.

The voice-print recognition station will be operational, but not restrictive, for the current month only. Marines should acquaint themselves with the identification stations during this period. If any Marines Head Trip Bank balance reaches zero, the doors to all Heads will not unlock for that Marines voice until the first of the next month. In addition, all Heads stalls are being equipped with time paper-roll retractors. If the stall is being occupied for more than a three minutes, an alarm will sound. Thirty seconds after the alarm, the toilet paper in the stall will retract, the toilet will flush, and the stall door will open.

If you have any questions regarding this new policy, Hard Luck.
