We are looking to recruit a Head of Clinical Engineering who will carry the lead responsibility within the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) for the development, quality assurance, safety and compliance with the standards set out by the Medicine and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency as well as other guiding principles of the NHS or Clinical Engineering governing bodies e.g. IPEM.

    You will be managerially responsible for all aspects of the service at the NNUH and should in addition be able to provide advice to other areas of the NHS if so required.

    Your duties will include:
    • leading and managing the Clinical Engineering Department
    • supporting the Trust in the provision of expert advice and leadership in relation to the management and procurement of healthcare technologies
    • leading on service planning, and the planning and shaping of the Department for the future
    • managing the Trust’s medical devices ensuring that they are maintained, serviced and repaired to comply with relevant legislation and manufacturers requirements, mitigating service risk and interruption
    • training and developing staff in the management and safe use of medical devices
