  1. Greetings, have just joined. A few months ago I set up the Great War at Sea Poetry Project to highlight
poems about the Great War at Sea written by combatants and non-combatants alike.
Also with the intention of looking examples of this genre, and to see why such poems rarely find their way to War Poetry anthologies.
Hope to eventually get an anthology organised to commemorate the centenary of Jutland in 2016.
Would welcome examples of such work, one source for poetry was in local papers .

  4. Thanks...always makes me chuckle ! Would include Balderick's offering if can clear the copyright.
  5. Have returned to Kipling in latest post - 'Tin Ships' and 'The Trade' , whilst looking at Great War at Sea Poetry related to Submarine warfare.
  6. The Great War at Sea Poetry Project blog has been updated with a review of 'Fishermen Against the Kaiser' by Douglas d'Enno.
After the Jutland centenary the blog and website will feature 'War at Sea ' poetry generally , particularly from World War 2.
