The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
Does anyone know the percentages of non-grads vs grads at BRNC?
Does it matter?
was that what I asked?
No it wasn't, you asked
The answer to this question is undoubtedly....
Ho Ho....Poor Tim,
This year you are cheeking them but next year you will be saluting them.
Dont worry, Tim, after all they are obliged to return your salutes.
Not got figures to hand for RN, but do know that for RM Young Officers about 85% are graduates.
Obviously all Engineers, Padre's, Doctors, Nurses, ISOs, TMOs, EHOs & Dentists are grads, so that leaves only Warfare & Logs who may join without a degree. We don't discriminate against non-grads, you either pass selection or don't, but financially it makes sense to double one's starting income by having a degree upon entry.
As a grad with a (very large) student loan...the majority of the extra money earned by being a grad will simply go on the loan repayments I will be making until I am about 50!!! *sighs*
One of us could still get booted out somewhere in the training pipeline
I'm willing to bet who most would put their money on!
I sense that a certain one of you will be booted; even if not 'out' ....
Perhaps that will come later....... or is that just my wishful thinking
