Gordo the Broon

Yellow ribbon FFS. :x More adopting of American traditions. Haven't we got any traditions of our own left that we can use? Broon, if you're reading this, take note. If you want to put the 'Great' back into Britain ditch all the foreignisms.

“I have been Chancellor for ten years and I have tried to discharge those responsibilities with integrity and dignity." And at the same time taxed us all almost out of existence. What has happened to the majority of the funds raised through taxation? Wasted. He sold off half our gold reserves for almost half their current worth http://www.gold.org/value/news/article/6048/ Not only that, he raided the pension funds for more revenue http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/retirement/article.html?in_article_id=413695&in_page_id=6 & http://www.malcmoss.easynet.co.uk/Press/2007/040307Pensioners.htm and guess what? Millions of people without a company pension that will have to work many years past their normal retirement age just to make ends meet. What's the latest from the good ideas club? HIPs. Another tax.

"I will listen and I will learn." http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/politics/article2534024.ece Didn't the outgoing PM say the same at the last election? And did he listen and learn? Did he fuck. He only heard what he wanted to hear. And do you really think The Broon will take any more notice of the people as PM than Bliar did?

What have we had out of NuLiabor? Sleaze, spin, misdirection and lies.

No doubt there are many honourable people in the Labour party who have the welfare of the people as their reason for entering politics, but at cabinet level there seems to be too many waisters. The Broon is going to have to do one hell of a lot to restore any credibility to his party, especially given as he was partly responsible for destroying it.
All he has to do is keep up his rhetoric on the welfare state and the health service and the Public will simply accept him. Defence doesn't win votes these days. Has anybody else noticed that he is now feigning a sense of humour?
