UK Govt PLC would have to ensure that any construction contracts for the pipelines, and licences for the overseas production of the pumps would have to be by French, German, Spanish, Russian or Chinese companies so as not to keep any profits within the country. At the same time we - The Taxpayer - would have to pay out £M's in compensation to the current energy providers from the aforementioned countries for the fall in profits due to the uptake of an alternative source of heating. A Win-Win situation for Johnny Foreigner, so it won't be long before it's here.
